Dynamic Systems with Intuitive, Centralized Control for Improved Productivity and Security
Napa, California
Summary
- Climate Control for heating and cooling of the public and private spaces, including the wine caves, with the ability to detect issues that are in need of servicing.
- Monitor and control life safety system including kitchen exhaust, fire suppression system and the monitoring of CO2 levels in the wine caves. Create alerts for the facility operators either on site or by using an app on a mobile device.
- Control the interior and exterior lighting with Title 24 compliance to include landscape path lighting, tree lighting, patio lighting, parking lot lighting, tasting rooms, kitchen and dining areas, event function spaces, and the touring caves.
- Irrigation system to include the garden and vineyard watering cycles utilizing weather monitoring to control watering schedules for the conservation of water whenever possible.
- Intrusion security with access control for exterior doors using badge readers with after hour validation. Hospitality usage areas require the need for controllable access to specific areas that is easily adjusted by time of day or with personal interaction.
- CCTV recording system with time stamp retrievable events to monitor indoor and exterior spaces using masking and motion to optimize disk storage space.
- Monitor and interface with the third party TankNet winemaker applications for grape fermentation.
- Provide reports using collected data for energy use and production to help the owner track real-time costs of operation.
- Create High-End Entertainment areas for hospitality use as well as from private event functions. This system is featured throughout the facility to include the tasting rooms, offices, kitchen, interior dining spaces, and exterior patios and touring caves.
- The technology has to be subtle and unassuming so as not to detract for the design and ambiance of this showpiece of old world Italian architecture. It also had to be easy to use and maintain with just a facility operator. Create an interface that had a platform UI that could be used on any mobile device onsite or remotely.

Key Technical Solutions
Acoustic enhancements using Meyers Sound Dual Mine Array speakers with subwoofers hanging from the ceiling and loudspeakers on the floor. All of these are controlled by a Crestron SWAMP audio matrix system which allows for individual EQ parameters per zone or area.
Crestron DM video matrix distributes video content from inside or outside the facility for entertainment use. This system allows the use of any video monitors to host a presentation, remote sales meeting or to view any of the 33 CCTV cameras around the property.
Crestron lighting system allows control of all aspects of the facility lighting make sure the facility is Title 24 compliant. This allowed us to create lighting scenes to be triggered by time events, occupancy events or personal interaction.
Custom designed, highly efficient hydronic loop heating and cooling system to control the temperature in the tasting room and wine caves with additional performance to handle the future fermentation process being built on site. This also needed to integrate with the third party Tank Net winemaker applications for fermenting the grapes.
Synology disk station as a camera NVR for the 33 total Axis interior and Trendnet outdoor cameras to monitor the high hospitality traffic areas. Access control of entry doors and interior doors is controlled using Crestron UI with a floor plan layout to easily understand what doors are being accessed with automated snapshot pictures of personal coming and going.

Tahoe Theater
Powerful Home Theater Solutions Made Easy to Use for Any Member of the Family
Tahoe, California
Summary
The homeowners' mandate that the theater be high-performance called for a Runco VX2C projector. The homeowners' other mandate that all the gear be hidden required Pacific to get creative when housing this behemoth 3-chip OLP. "The projector made some noise and required ventilation," says Pacific. "Placing the projector within correct vertical offset , putting the screen in the appropriate ve1tical viewing angles, and keeping the projected light pattern clear of interference was a balancing act that we accomplished using 3D CAD for the modeling."
The projector enclosure is an isolated, decoupled design with specially designed ventilation that steers air directly into the projector chassis to ensure proper ventilation. Of course, looking at images of the theater, the first thing you notice isn't the projector or the height of the ceiling. It's the design aesthetic that sets it apart. The mountain lodge home in the Lake Tahoe area called for a theater that matched. Massive rough hewn lumber, stone, hardwood floors and hand-applied plaster accomplish the effect. "By planning ahead and integrating the acoustical modeling results with the desired interior style, we were able to create a Lodge Theater," says Pacific. The ceiling height did not allow vaulted beams, so the company designed knee braces with cross beams that tied into the stone-clad columns. The hand-applied old-world-style acoustic plaster is both a stylistic element and acoustical treatment! Now that's form following function.

The Learning Center
Dynamic Systems with Intuitive, Centralized Control for Improved Productivity and Security
Maui, Hawaii
Summary
The Maui Learning Center reached out to us about their aging AV system back in 2018 when we 1st visited the site for a discovery of the facility. They have 5 dedicated classrooms plus a 100+ seat auditorium and dining area that all needed to be upgraded. The original system was installed by others that are no longer around and built around a centralized crestron control system that then fed all the other rooms for AV and control.
One problem the facility managers wanted us to solve was that single point of failure in that single crestron processor (the system at that point was already 15 yrs old and outdated for the training they needed in today's tech world) so with the help of crestron tech sales we designed a current AV system without a single point of failure, they also wanted a way to stream and save any classroom training sessions so that any class could be seen live or reviewed at a later time.
This was accomplished using Extron SMP streaming eq. Each classroom now has its own Crestron DMPS HDMI 4k processor, switcher/,mixer, Microphones and DSP amps, Samsung 85" flat panel as main monitor and 45" flat panels for confidence monitors. This technology now allows any trainer/presenter to use any device to connect with the classroom and teach with no restrictions. They can connect wirelessly with any mobile devices or hardwired using HDMI cables that are stationed on the podium. Right now we are in phase 5 of the project with one more phase which will be to upgrade all the mic mixer DPS amps and PA systems which will be Q1 of 2021 install.
